Candy has been teaching at various vocational colleges in Vienna for the past 17 years. She has been in charge of various programmes of these colleges and has used her experience in the business world to help create curricula and teach new courses. For the past 6 years, together with an Austrian business partner, she manages her own company which assists commercial enterprises in various fields of communication and tourism.

She has a Bachelor's Degree summa cum lauda and a Master's Degree in English from California State University of Long Beach and a Ph.D. from the University of Vienna. Although she was born and raised in America, she has been living in Austria for the past 30 years. Before entering the teaching field, she held various office positions. This has put her in the unique position of being able to teach courses like Business English from a practical standpoint and has made her fully aware of the skills needed to be efficient in the business world. This has led to her presenting various topics at conferences throughout Europe and America in the past ten years.
